Trailing 14-13 early in the second quarter, Mosinee came back with a dominating performance the rest of the way and throttled Lakeland 48-14 in Great Northern Conference action.
A 14-7 Lakeland evaporated in a hurry with the first of four Mosinee second quarter touchdowns, beginning with a 67 yard pass from Gavin Obremski to Keegan Jirschele on a wheel route down the right sideline.
Jirschele was just getting started.

On the ensuing possesion by Lakeland, the junior picked off a pass on Mosinee’s 12 yardline and with artistry and speed, raced for an 88 yard touchdown to give Mosinee the lead for good, 21-14.
Jirschele collected two more touchdown receptions in the quarter of 25 and 5 yards and Mosinee was breathing easier with a 35-14 halftime lead.
The third quarter saw Mosinee senior receiver Davin Stoffel collect a pair of touchdown receptions of 15 and 24 yards.
