Landon Thomer Nets Another Double-Double in Mosinee’s Win over New London

Mosinee vs New London  Won: 78-61

Game two of the 2023-24 season was a rematch against a strong New London team who beat Mosinee last year in sectional play.  Mosinee was able to jump out early with the lead and never look back.  Mosinee was led by Keagen Jirschele with 15 first half points and Landon Thomer with 14 first half points to give Mosinee a 47-30 lead going into the locker room.  New London continued to pressure Mosinee the entire game to keep the game at a fast pace.  Mosinee was able to continue the lead and they would add to it throughout the game.

Mosinee had a very balanced scoring attack and  was led in scoring by Landon Thomer who had back to back double-double games with 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 assists while knocking down 1 three, Aidan Shaughnessy would have a big night shooting while scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist along with hitting 3 three pointers, Keagen Jirschele added 16 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds while hitting 3 threes and going 1 for 3 at the line, Garrett Shupe contributed 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist while hitting 2 threes and going 2 for 2 at the free throw line. Cole Kowalski battled tonight with 6 strong points and 2 rebounds, and to round out the scoring was Treve Stoffel who provided 6 points, 2 assists, and 1 rebound.  Mosinee will play Merrill next Friday at 7 pm in a non-conference game in Mosinee for parents’ night.
