Laura (Lauralee Link) Lenz died peacefully on February 4, 2023, at Wells Nature View.  She was born May 18, 1938, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on the family farm.  When her father passed away in 1940, the family moved to Auburndale and then to Marshfield.  Laura spent her entire life from age 4 on Washington Avenue until she moved to Wells Nature View Assisted Living where she received loving and attentive care from the staff.  She attended schools in Marshfield and graduated from Columbus High School.  She married Jerald H. Lenz in 1957.

Laura is survived by her children Debbie (Rich) Collins of Cordova, Alaska; Dennis (Amy) Lenz of Colfax, Wisconsin; Laurie (John) Larson of Stillwater, Minnesota; Lisa (Gene) Hood Northfield, Minnesota; Tammy of Wausau; and Dean (Jackie) Lenz of Pittsville. She was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Archie; her husband Jerry in 1989; son Daryl in 2006; son Randy in 2022; and her sisters Marie Hager and Florence Hastreiter; brothers: Edgar, Milton, Jerry, and Ray Link.  We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with our dad, her two sons and the whole Link family.

Laura was a master at finding great bargains through her couponing, rummage sales and rebating.  She was an excellent cook that made most everything from scratch and grew large gardens of vegetables and flowers. She was also an excellent seamstress and made beautiful clothing for her children and she made the best marble bags!   In addition to being a wonderful mother to all of us, she was a great “dog mom” and will be so excited to be reunited with her Cindy, Rocky, Queenie, BJ and Molly.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Visitation is at the funeral home, Sunday, February 12 from 2-5 and then again at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 on Monday, February 13.    Mass of Christian burial will be at Sacred Heart Church, Monday, February 13 at 10:30.  If you would like to make a memorial in her name, please consider a contribution to your local pet shelter.

Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
