Taking the title as the OnFocus Athlete of the Week, May 8 to May 14 was Laurissa Klapatauskas of Medford, with 373 votes.
Siarra Hart of Athens Softball, collecting 314 votes, took second place.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, May 8 to May 14
- Morgan Reichl, Assumption Girls Soccer (nominated online) – Reichl has been a key figure in the Royals’ success this season. Assumption is 15-0 and has scored 103 goals, giving up just four. Outstanding defense and great net play by Reichl has frustrated opponents all season.
- Ben Lee, Amherst Baseball – Lee had an eventful day for Amherst, keying a pair of wins. Lee’s two out, walk off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Amherst a 6-5 win over unbeaten Columbus Catholic. Lee then went 2 for 3 with another home run and 3 RBI in a 15-5 win over Rosholt. Lee is second in the state with 29 RBI and is tied for second in the state with 6 wins, with one week to go in the regular season.
- Siarra Hart, Athens Softball – Hart pitched a no-hitter as Athens defeated Auburndale 10-0 this week.
- Cole Stevens / Blake Postler, DC Everest Boys Track – The pair of Evergreens each claimed a pair of titles at the Wausau City Track Meet on Tuesday. Stevens won the shot put and discus, and Postler claimed first in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.
- Laurissa Klapatauskas, Medford Softball – Klapatauskas threw a no-hitter this week as Medford stormed past Rhinelander, 15-0..
