Air medical transport service Life Link III, which has a helicopter base in Marshfield, offered its condolences after a helicopter crash involving North Memorial Health Air Care in Brainerd, Minnesota.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the crash this morning involving North Memorial Health Air Care. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by this tragic accident,” Life Link III stated on its Facebook page.
The North Memorial Health helicopter crashed in foggy conditions at 1 a.m. Friday morning inside the fenced area at Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport, killing the pilot and a nurse, plus injuring a third crew member. No patients were being transported at the time.
The National Transportation Safety Board is in charge of the investigation.
