A Two Vehicle Crash in the Township of Saratoga
Township of Saratoga (OnFocus) On May 24th, 2020 at 7:55 pm Wood County Central Dispatch received the report of a two vehicle crash on State Hwy 13 near Tower Road in the Township of Saratoga.
It was reported one of the vehicles was overturned in the roadway. Initial investigation indicated a Jeep was traveling southbound on Hwy 13 and a Tahoe was traveling northbound on Hwy 13. The Tahoe entered the southbound lane of traffic and collided with the Jeep.
The drivers were the sole occupants of the vehicles. The operator of the Jeep was transported by helicopter after being ejected from the vehicle and sustaining serious injuries.
The operator of the Tahoe sustained minor injuries. State Highway 13 was closed for approximately 2.5 hours during the incident.
Responding to the call was Wood County Deputies, Grand Rapids Police Department, Nekoosa Police Department, Would County Sheriff’s Rescue, Wisconsin Rapids Fire/EMS Department, Nekoosa Fire Department, Saratoga First Reponders, Rome Fire Department and Life Link III.
Names of individual involved are being held until 5/26/2020.
