Five year-old Lincoln Schrock, cancer warrior and honorary firefighter of Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department, passed away early this morning at his home in Loyal.

Lincoln, son of Matt and Kaitlin Schrock, battled stage four Neuroblastoma since September 2017 and experienced two relapses. Tens of thousands of people have been touched by his journey through the Facebook page and blog, “Pray for Lincoln – Neuroblastoma Warrior.” On the page, Lincoln’s family has shared updates from his journey and stories about his unwavering faith in God.

This morning, a post on the Facebook page read: “At 12:33 this morning, Lincoln ran into the arms of His Jesus. We are so happy for him. We will live the rest of our lives honoring Lincoln by choosing to praise our God. God’s love is realer to us than ever before because of Lincoln.”

OnFocus had the great honor of meeting Lincoln and his amazing family in May 2018 at the Marshfield fire station, where Lincoln toured and received his very own badge and uniform.

An ongoing GoFundMe page for the Schrock family can be found at this link.
