WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – Some Aspirus Riverview Hospital emergency room patients are being helped through a generous donation by the Lioness Club of Wisconsin Rapids.

The donation purchased gift cards to be used to buy clothing for Aspirus Riverview’s Kindness Closet. The “Kindness Closet helps ensure patients’ comfort and dignity following visits to the hospital’s ER. The closet consists of new, loose-fitting clothing that a patient’s care team can use to replace any clothes that get soiled and/or need to be cut off while the patient is receiving care.

Over time, the Kindness Closet runs low on sweatpants and shorts. Using the gift from the Lioness Club, Aspirus Riverview Foundation purchased more than 50 pairs of sweatpants to help restock the closet. Through its donation to Aspirus Riverview Foundation, the Lioness Club’s generosity is making a meaningful difference in the lives of local patients.

Aspirus Riverview Foundation supports community-based efforts that align with improving the community’s greatest health and wellness needs. To learn more about the foundation, visit aspirus.org/aspirus-riverview-foundation.
