MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Utilities, in partnership with several local businesses and organizations, recently hosted a unique challenge aimed at restocking the shelves of Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet.
The challenge, which ran from June 12th to June 16th, was a contest to see which business could collect the most items in one week. In total, the challenge collected 3,827 items.
The challenge aimed to fulfill the pressing needs of Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. Some of the most urgently required items include saltine crackers, jelly, broth, sugar, oatmeal, peanut butter, canned soup, canned chili, canned stew, deodorant, and lotion. Generous contributions of both food and non-food items are greatly appreciated.
The winning team earned bragging rights and was awarded a coveted traveling trophy. The lowest-scoring team has to complete a penalty activity chosen by the winner.

As winner, Marshfield Utilities gave H&S the penalty choice to either:
- Choose a team representative to take a pie in the face or kiss a mystery critter
- Take the penalty as a team and challenge another participating business to play Dodge Water Balloon.
