MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Area United Way’s annual “Supplies 4 Success” Backpack and School Supply Drive will be collecting school supplies for area children until August 8, 2022.

Last year, the backpack and school supply drive helped 610 children from Marshfield, Auburndale, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Pittsville, Spencer and Stratford School Districts.

“First Choice Credit Union enjoys helping families in our community with programs like this one. This program is a helpful and much-needed resource for students and families having difficulties with the ever-increasing costs of education and life in general,” said Ken Forrest, EVP at First Choice Credit Union. “It brings the community together to help those in need so that they are not at a disadvantage due to financial struggles. It helps these children push forward and make more of themselves without being held back from having the needed school supplies. They can look and feel like everyone else.”

You can help children in our area begin the next school year ready to learn by donating backpacks and/or school supplies and dropping them off at various locations throughout town, including:

  • Ameriprise Financial
  • Christ Lutheran Church
  • Cornerstone Community Church
  • Festival Foods
  • First Choice Credit Union
  • Forward Bank (Marshfield & Greenwood)
  • Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
  • Partners Bank (Marshfield, Spencer & Stratford)
  • Thrivent

Donations can also be dropped off at the United Way office, 612 W Blodgett Street, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m and 4:30 p.m.

More information about the backpack and school supply drive and a list of school supplies needed for donation is available for download at the Marshfield Area United Way website, marshfieldareaunitedway.org.
