Local Marketing Team Promotes Marshfield Area Nationally

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) This summer TriMedia, owner of OnFocus, provided content marketing services for Kobussen Bus company in Marshfield. The campaign promoted an open house hiring event. Kobussen is not alone in the search for school bus drivers.

This morning, NBC’s TODAY Show featured a portion of TriMedia’s coverage LIVE as part of their coverage of the national bus driver shortage.

TriMedia is a local marketing agency that helps businesses get found locally and discovered online.

“We started TriMedia in 2010 because I knew then that the time would come when our community would depend on the internet to grow and prosper,” said Branden Bodendorfer, founder of TriMedia. “That time is becoming more and more important each day.”

In 2017, TriMedia started OnFocus, the area’s largest and most-followed source for local sports, community, and business news.

“When we started OnFocus, our goal was simple: provide a space where businesses in our community could have a voice amongst all the noise from national and worldwide competition. We wanted to FEATURE MARSHFIELD and the area, because that’s who WE are,” said Bodendorfer.

This is not the first time TriMedia’s content has been featured on a major network. Over the last few years, content published by TriMedia has been on every major network, including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN and even sports coverage on EPSN. In addition, OnFocus’s coverage of local events has been shared by WSAU, WAOW, WEAU and WJFW.

“I thought if we put our talents into promoting our community, others would notice and put their resources into creating quality content about our community. And it’s working. Over the last three years, I have seen Marshfield community news featured again and again. Look at the coverage Marshfield gets on local TV stations compared to our neighbors like Stevens Point,” said Bodendorfer.

TriMedia’s content has not only garnered national attention and delivered local awareness, the quality content has boosted online opportunities. Recent quality scores show that when TriMedia partners with a local business for content marketing, that business ranks higher in online searches.

“Marketing is a community effort. Many of the businesses we work with have their own teams. We love working with other agencies and employees of whom we are promoting,” said Bodendorfer. “Our team provides a talent that is not something you can replicate on your own. We have an audience, we are local, and we truly care about not only your success but our success as a community.”

Over recent years, TriMedia’s coverage has expanded to Medford, Spencer, Stratford, Wisconsin Rapids, Neillsville and everywhere in-between.

“In July, we started something new. We took the whole month and promoted stories from Pittsville. These stories had some of our largest reach,” said Bodendorfer. “And we are excited to announce that in September OnFocus will be covering Spencer as its featured community. I believe that all tides rise together, and I personally want the Marshfield area to become known as a place of opportunity.”

Local business are already seeing the benefits of utilizing TriMedia for their content creation, website development, Google Listings, management, and advertising.

“Without a dedicated marketing department, our use of marketing was very limited and based on tactics from the 20th century.  Our partnership with TriMedia has updated our strategy to embrace the digital marketing opportunities available,” said David Murphy, President of Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union.” This has allowed us to develop a stronger presence online, which means our credit union will pop up when people are searching for financial products or asking questions about financial matters.  Our goal is to become the financial expert in Central Wisconsin, and taking advantage of SEO within our website and by building our digital presence accomplishes this goal.

“We have been using TriMedia for a couple of year now, and they have taken our website and social media to levels we couldn’t have on our own,” said Nick Arnoldy, CEO of Marshfield Insurance. “I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to expand their online and media presence. Since we hired them, our content has reached far more people than it would have on our own.”

“Businesses need to work together to grow,” added Bodendorfer. “Our services go beyond promoting local business; we push ourselves to promote positive experiences taking place in the classrooms, sports teams’ success on the court, and building awareness for community organizations. This is all part of the model that we have for building awareness for our community. When an individual applies for a job, the family interviews the community. Our community coverage shines a light on the opportunities families have in the rural Midwest.”
