Local streets closed for upcoming Dairyfest activities
MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As summer approaches, Marshfield residents eagerly await the annual Dairyfest celebration, which serves as the unofficial kickoff to the season. The festivities commence on Thursday, June 1, with the symbolic water fountain inauguration in Wenzel Plaza. In order to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, the City of Marshfield Streets Division has coordinated street closures during this much-anticipated event.
To facilitate Dairy Fest activities, the following streets will be temporarily closed to traffic:
- Blodgett Street, between Chestnut and Walnut
- Chestnut Street, between Arnold and Blodgett
- Walnut Street, between Arnold and Chestnut
On Saturday, June 3, additional street closures will be implemented for the Dairyfest Parade and downtown happenings:
- Central Avenue, spanning from Veterans Parkway to 14th Street, will be closed to traffic from approximately 7:30 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade.
- Following the parade, Chestnut Street will be closed from West 4th Street to West 2nd Street, West 2nd Street from Central Avenue to Chestnut Street, and West 3rd Street from Central Avenue to Walnut Street. West 3rd Street from Central to Chestnut will also be closed for post-parade activities. All streets will reopen after 5 p.m., allowing regular traffic flow to resume.
