“Campus Connections” Program Features UW-Marshfield/Wood County
UW-Marshfield/Wood County has been serving students and families since 1964, and the institution is proud of their higher education contributions throughout Central Wisconsin.
In a new outreach, the UW will host a monthly program on Marshfield Community Television (MCTV). Called “Campus Connections,” the program will feature a variety of topics associated with the local campus.
“In Campus Connections, we plan to cover a variety of topics, including a preview of summer programming available through our continuing education office to a video tour of the new Everett Roehl STEM Center, which will open in September,” said Brian Becker, regional director of communications, UW Colleges.
He added that other shows will feature some of the fun and education events taking place on campus, events that people in Marshfield and Wood County have come to expect and enjoy.
“Finally, we hope to showcase our students, faculty, and alumni, all of whom make Marshfield a great place to learn, work and live,” said Becker.
He added that one goal of the program is to help viewers understand and gain a greater appreciation for the important educational role of UW-Marshfield/Wood County locally.
“We’re proud to be the ‘UW’ in the greater Marshfield area,” he said. “We impact thousands of people each year, both young and old, through a variety of quality programming.”
Each month, the program will highlight a different aspect of the local UW, showcasing its impact on the community.
“Campus Connections will be a great way for us to share some of our success stories with Marshfield Community TV viewers, highlighting how we’re making a difference in the community in many ways,” said Becker.
