(OnFocus) A traffic accident involving a log truck and garbage truck resulted in no injuries but shut down a highway for several hours.
On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Wood County Dispatch received a phone call at 10:33 a.m. of an accident in the town of Hansen in Wood County on Highway 186 by Grant Road, according to a release.
A southbound log truck driven by Jonathan Harnisch, 23, of Menomonie, collided with a garbage truck driven by Ryan Leitner, 45, of Wisconsin Rapids, who was also also traveling southbound on his route.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Wood County Rescue, Wood County Highway Department, and Vesper Fire Department.
