ART STEVENSON & HIGH WATER have been keeping traditional bluegrass music alive in Wisconsin and surrounding states since 1993. And on Saturday, May 6th this high-energy show will be coming to the Pittsville School Auditorium starting at 7 p.m.
The band’s mission is to preserve the hard-driving traditional bluegrass sound, while including material from other musical styles such as gospel and old country.
Wisconsin Public Radio has said “Art Stevenson IS Bluegrass in Wisconsin!” And even more amazing is the fact that guitarist, singer, and harmonicist Stevenson lives in nearby Babcock, Wisconsin!
The show is sponsored by the Pittsville Area Foundation for the Arts (PAFA). Sue Masephol, PAFA Board President states, “We’ve been welcoming this band to our stage annually for almost 10 years. Local talent Art Stevenson brings together some mighty pickers in his High Water band. They are as much fun to watch as they are to hear.”
Tickets are available at the door. Cost is only $10 (discount for Seniors), and only $3 for students. The 500-seat Pittsville School Auditorium is located at 5459 Elementary Avenue.
