Loyal/Greenwood Football Voted OnFocus Team of the Week, August 25 – August 31
Voters came out to support area teams and it was Loyal/Greenwood Football that earned the title of OnFocus Team of the Week, August 25 – August 31, collecting 330 votes.
Second place went to Stratford Football with 140 votes and right behind in third place was Abbotsford Football with 137 votes.
OnFocus Team of the Week, August 25 – August 31
- Loyal/Greenwood Football – Loyal/Greenwood improved to 1-1 with a resounding 39-0 win over neighboring co-op Neillsville/Granton 39-0.
- Newman Catholic Girls Tennis(nominated online) – The Cardinals zoomed past Stevens Point 5-2 in nonconference girls tennis and set area competition on notice that they will be a tough matchup this season.
- Abbotsford Football – Abbotsford moved to 2-0 on the season with a big Nonconference win over neighbor Colby, 21-6.
- Stevens Point Volleyball – Stevens Point is off to a hot start at 11-0 and is ranked #1 in our OnFocus Central Wisconsin Volleyball Rankings.
- Stratford Football – Stratford moved to 2-0 with a 21-8 win over longtime rival Edgar. The Tigers moved to 2-0 and are atop our OnFocus Computer Football Rankings. Stratford heads into CWC-Large play with wins over perennial powers Mosinee and Edgar.
