Submitted to Loyal (OnFocus) – On Sunday, September 13 , the School District of Loyal became aware of a COVID-19 exposure that occurred at the school during the week of 9/7/20. The Loyal School District and the Clark County Health Department (CCHD) are working collaboratively to identify who may have been exposed.
The Loyal School District and the CCHD will not release the name(s) of any individual testing positive for COVID-19, to protect the privacy of individuals and their families.
To prevent further spread of the virus and to allow the school and the CCHD more time to identify and notify exposed individuals, it has been decided that Loyal School District will not have students in the building on Monday, September 14th. Students and families should monitor their Google classroom/sites and email during the school day tomorrow for communication from their teachers. The school will be cleaned and disinfected at this time.
School will resume on Tuesday, September 15 . Those who may need to quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19, will be contacted by their local health department and will be given quarantine instructions. The CCHD recommends everyone to continue to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and stay home when ill.
