LSU has won its first-ever national championship. The Tigers led through two rotations, lost its lead to Utah and took hold of the lead once more after a strong finish on beam. In the fourth and final rotation, five Tiger gymnasts scored a 9.9+, with Konnor McClain’s meet-leading score of 9.9625 on beam.

A few unforced errors on vault caused Utah to lose its lead to LSU during Rotation 4. California was able to surpass the Red Rocks with a dominant performance on bars highlighted by eMjae Frazier and Gabby Perea’s team-leading 9.9125 score.

California came in second to the Tigers by -0.375. Utah fell from first to take third place, trailing by -0.425 with a total 197.8000 score and Florida placed fourth with a 197.4375 score. Despite the absence of perfect 10s, the leaderboard was stacked as Haleigh Bryant and Frazier tied for best all-around, scoring 39.7125. Here’s a look at the final leaderboard of the 2024 championship:

  • Vault — LSU’s Haleigh Bryant, Cal’s Mya Lauzon | 9.9500
  • Bars — Utah’s Grace McCallum, Florida’s Leanne Wong | 9.9500
  • Beam — LSU’s Konnor McClain | 9.9625
