Voting for the OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 13 – February 19 saw Makayla’s Ulrich pick up 432 votes to capture the honor.
Tanner Halopka of Abbotsford/Colby Wrestling took second place with 391 votes.
Third place went to Braeden Schueller of Stratford Basketball with 268 votes. In fourth place was Richard Streveler of Colby Basketball who had 117 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, February 13 – February 19
- Richard Streveler, Colby Boys Basketball – Streveler poured in 35 points as Colby outgunned Spencer, 97-85.
- Tanner Halopka, Abbostford/Colby Wrestling – Halopka punched his return trip to state, and heads to Madison later this week sporting a 47-1 record.
- Makayla Ulrich, Medford Gymnastics – Ulrich won the All-Around at the Great Northern Conference Small School Gymnastics Meet, held Saturday at Antigo. Ulrich took first on the balance beam and floor exercise, second on the vault and third on the uneven bars.
- Preston Spray / Brett Back, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Wrestling – Spray and Back are headed back to the WIAA Individual Wrestling Tournament, taking first place at the Sun Prairie Division 1 Sectionals. Spray, a senior, and Back, a sophomore, each sport 47-2 records this season.
- Braeden Schueller, Stratford Boys Basketball – Schueller scored 18 points to lead the Tigers past Edgar Friday evening, helping move Stratford to a tie atop the Marawood South with Marathon, each sporting 13-2 records.
