(OnFocus) The Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy held in Neillsville this June will help grant wishes for three youth who are living with a critical illness.

The total of $18,634.28 raised in 2019 from the truck convoy and other fundraisers will send 3-year-old Brody of Chippewa Falls and 16-year-old Jemini of Wisconsin Rapids to Disney. A third wish was pending.

“We just appreciate everybody’s help in doing this. If it wasn’t for them, we’d be sitting there twiddling our thumbs,” said event organizer Punk Montgomery.

Next year’s truck convoy will take place June 13 for its twenty-third year. The event has helped grant over 60 wishes through Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.

“If we can help one kid, we’re happy,” she said. “If it makes their heart smile, that’s what it’s all about.”
