Man arrested after Marshfield PD Assists Milwaukee PD in Stolen Vehicle and Armed Robbery Case

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Police Department arrested a lone suspect in a stolen vehicle and armed robbery case from Milwaukee on late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Marshfield Police got a tip from the Milwaukee Police Department that a suspect in a stolen vehicle case may be residing in Marshfield. Milwaukee Police requested that Marshfield Police check a residence on the 600 block of North Walnut Ave. for a stolen vehicle.

The Marshfield Police Department did so and located the vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence. Officers were able to make contact with the owner of the vehicle and she told officers the suspect was inside with her children.

Officers made contact with the suspect via telephone and he initially refused to come out of the residence according to the police report. A short standoff ensued and eventually the man came out of the residence, was arrested and transported to the Wood County Jail.

The stolen vehicle was not damaged and was released to its owner.
