Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) A Marshfield man was detained by Walmart Loss Prevention after he attempted to fraudulently return items from within the store that he hadn’t purchased.
The man then attempted to leave with the items he didn’t pay for, according to the police report. The suspect is on probation and out on bond, and had been notified several times to not be on Walmart property.
Police investigation revealed that he had committed a similar act the day before, on May 23. The man was issued two citations for Trespassing, plus multiple charges of Retail Theft, Theft by Fraud, and Bail Jumping as a Habitual Offender were referred to the Marathon County District Attorney’s Office.
