WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (OnFocus) – According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a single motorcycle crash at 9:07 p.m. on Wednesday in the Village of Port Edwards.
The crash occurred on State Highway 13 near Townline Road. The initial investigation determined that a single occupant of the motorcycle was traveling north on State Highway 13 when it struck a curb, lost control and ejected the occupant from the motorcycle.
The occupant sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.
The Wood County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by the Wood County Sheriffs Rescue, Grand Rapids Fire Department, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, Saratoga First Responders, Grand Rapids Police Department, Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, and Life Link.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
