Superior — The Marathon County Bomb Squad is en route to investigate a possible homemade explosive device discovered around 9:15 a.m. on a sidewalk located north of the Superior Fire Department Headquarters on Tower Ave.
The threat is “credible,” according to the mayor of Superior. The device has been shielded and the threat is hoped to be resolved by the end of the work day.
State Highway 35 has been closed in both directions near the area of the device.
