With 590 votes, Mitchell Nigro and Tommy Novotny of Marquette Football picked up the title of OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 12 – November 18.
Taking second place was earned by Kylar Clemens of Lodi Football with 228 votes.
In third place was Laurenz Plattner of Stratford Football with 155 votes. Fourth place went to Edgar Football’s Karter Butt with 115 votes.
OnFocus Athlete of the Week, November 12 – November 18
- Karter Butt, Edgar Football – The all-state running back and linebacker ended his stellar career with a 172 rushing yards and 5 touchdown performance, leading Edgar to a 36 win over Black Hawk/Warren, IL in the Division 7 State Title Championship.
- Kyle White, Aquinas Football – White rushed for 240 yards and rumbled for a 59 yard touchdown to lead Aquinas to a 32-13 win over Wrightstown in the Division 4 State Title game.
- Laurenz Plattner, Stratford Football – Plattner capped off a thrilling battle with Darlington in the Division 6 state title game, connecting on a 32 yard field goal with one second remaining, and Stratford picked up a 10-7 victory and state championship.
- Mitchell Nigro/Tommy Novotny, Marquette University Football – Nigro collecting 2.5 sacks and Novotny rushed for 172 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Marquette to a 26-10 win over Franklin to claim the Division 1 Football Title on Friday.
- Kylar Clemens, Lodi Football – Clemens led Lodi with 146 yards rushing and had a game-high 10 tackles to lead Lodi to a 38-14 win over Luxemburg-Casco in the Division 5 State Title Game.
