Diane Veale and Rev. Dr. Laurie Brubaker Davis Appointed to Board

The Marshfield Area Community Foundation is excited to announce Diane Veale and Rev. Dr. Laurie Brubaker Davis appointment to our Board. The Board consists of 15 members who are appointed by individuals or organizations. They are elected by a majority of the Board of Directors. The Board meets monthly and is responsible for all functions of the Foundation.

Diane Veale recently retired from her 35-year career as a high school choral music instructor with thirty-three of those years being at Spencer High School.  A Herbert Kohl Foundation Fellowship recipient in 1997, she was also named a MACCI Crystal Apple Teacher of Distinction in 2006. Having served on the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts Board of Directors since its organization in 1995, Veale became executive director in July 2017.  She is married to Randy, who has taught instrumental music in Spencer for 34 years.

Rev. Davis recently became the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield, relocating from Dayton, Ohio where she served as the Associate Pastor for Spiritual Growth at Westminster Presbyterian Church for ten years, during which time she completed her Doctor of Ministry at Columbia Theological Seminary. Community outreach has been central to her twenty-five years in ministry, including chairing the Clark County Literacy Coalition Board, being a founding Board Member of Kirkmont Center, Inc, (a Church Camp and Conference Center), and creating a School Church Partnership Afterschool Drama Club and Tutoring Program, in Springfield, Ohio. Prior to entering the ministry, Rev. Davis earned her M.B.A. at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Ca. She and her husband Bob have been married for 38 years and have two young adult daughters. In March they became grandparents.

We welcome Diane and Rev. Davis to our Board and look forward to working with them.
