MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Marshfield Area Empty Bowls, the primary fundraiser for Soup or Socks since 2011, is back on March 9, 2024, from 11am to 2pm at Hotel Marshfield. This event, while raising funds, aims to raise awareness about hunger in our community.
Empty Bowls brings together people from all walks of life. Artists, students, volunteers, and local businesses collaborate to make this event possible. Since its start in 2012, Empty Bowls has raised nearly $100,000 to support Soup or Socks.
This year, attendees can enjoy soup from local restaurants either indoors or as a to-go option. Diners can select a ceramic bowl made by local artists or students with their purchase. To-go options include a chance to pick a bowl and enter raffles.
Soup tickets are $12 for a standard 12oz cup, available for both dine-in and to-go. A special offer of a 12oz cup of soup plus a flight of 3 additional soups is available for $17.
