CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield boys basketball team had a rare off-night shooting the ball and paid the price.
The Tigers scored just 12 points in the first half, fell behind by 19 at the break, and dropped a 58-39 decision to Chippewa Falls in a nonconference game at Chippewa Falls High School on Friday night.
Marshfield lost its second game in a row following a 10-game winning streak and falls to 13-6 overall. Chippewa Falls is now 9-10.
Marshfield shot just 28 percent from the field (15 of 53) and were 7 of 27 from 3-point range in the loss.
Brant Bohman had eight points and Addison Hill added seven for the Tigers.
Marshfield hosts Eau Claire Memorial in a nonconference game at 3 p.m. Saturday.
