Marshfield Boys Battle with Onalaska

Report shared  by Marshfield Head Soccer Coach Jeff Molter

Marshfield started a bit unorganized today much to my dismay, but even being unorganized Keegan Fredrick found the net on a ball from Mason Horn at the 15:32 mark to start the scoring. At 20:03 Mathew Uphoff converted on a ball through from Keegan, then Mathew returned the favor at the 35:47 mark on a ball through for Keegan to end the scoring.

We built some really good chances that just didn’t come to fruition today but we’re happy with the opportunities we had. At the end of the day, we just need to finish better when we have the chance.  I am really happy with the way our defenders played today, Landon, JJ, Dirk, Joey, and Afton did a nice job tonight limiting the advantages of Onalaska.

Onalaska had 2 saves on the night and 3 shots with 3 corners.

Marshfield Keeper Kai Rens had 1 save on the night and was very involved in our defense by being an available drop for our back 4.

Mfld had 5 corners and took 15 shots tonight, all in all a good result for us but still showed us that we have things to work and improve on going forward.
