Marshfield Boys Drop Season Opener to Hortonville

Tigers first outing of the season didn’t fair as well as we had hoped. 3-1 loss
We gave up a goal at the 4:30 mark (we didn’t look settled at all to start). After a bit of 1st game nervousness, we settled in and started to control a bit and make some nice attacks and adjustments.

We played the Polar Bears even till the second half, and at the 46:05-mark Cash Frey made a great run, and a ball delivered by Keegan Fredrick netted our 1st and only goal of the day.
Though we created some really great opportunities with Mitchel, Antonio, Eli, and Afton we came up short. Gave up 2 goals late at the 65:40 & 73:05 marks.
It was a good learning experience and gives us a good base line to build on for the upcoming season.
