Marshfield boys hockey roughs up Regis/Altoona/McDonell

MARSHFIELD – Freshman Sawyer Schindler had a hat trick and two assists, and senior Ryan Krueger had a goal and five assists as the Marshfield boys hockey team pummeled Regis/Altoona/McDonell 13-1 in a nonconference game Friday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Adam Maki scored in the opening minute to set the tone for the Tigers, who piled up six goals in the first period to take complete control of the contest.

Krueger, Isaiah Baierl, and Justin Stanek added goals, and Schindler scored twice to put Marshfield (6-3) up 6-0.

Nick Urban had a pair of goals in the second period, and Ben Baur, Peyton Smith, Dominic Lange and Dalton Havlorsen added goals for the Tigers.

Marshfield hosts Grantsburg at 3 p.m. Saturday.
