Marshfield Boys Hockey Voted OnFocus Team of the Week, January 14 – January 20

Marshfield Boys Hockey earned the title of OnFocus Team of the Week, January 14 – January 20, collecting 428 votes.

Wausau East Boys Basketball finished a close second with 413 votes.

D.C. Everest Boys Wrestling took third place with 150 votes. Fourth place was collected by Medford Boys Wrestling with 118 votes.

Pittsville Girls Basketball picked up 104 votes for fifth place.

OnFocus Team of the Week, January 14 – January 20

• Medford Boys Wrestling – The Raiders took the title at the Arcadia Challenge, with four wrestlers taking first place finishes: Owen Higgins, Gage Losiwicz, Logan Kawa and Max Dietzman.
• Wausau East Boys Basketball – The Lumberjacks broke a 22 game losing streak against Stevens Point, fighting back and defeating the Panthers, 78-73.
• Marshfield Boys Hockey – Powered by Joey Cashmer, Reed Gieseking and Tyler Reissmann, the Tigers took down Tomahawk 4-3 in overtime. Cashmer had two goals, none bigger than the game-winner in overtime. Reissmann added the other two goals, and it was Gieseking who came up big in the net, collecting 43 saves!
• Pittsville Girls Basketball – The Panthers are 5-1, 13-2 overall in the CWC South(as of Tuesday morning) and just recently added an impressive comeback win over Wild Rose, picking up a 54-52 overtime win.
• D.C. Everest Boys Wrestling – The Evergreens took second place at the Wausau East Lumberjack Invite, with several top finishes. Easton Cooper(126) and Carson Kempf(150) claimed titles; Daytona Pagel(190), Niko Kleinschmidt(175), Blake Bangtson(157), and Deakin Trotzer(144) all claimed third place finishes.
