Marshfield Boys Soccer Battles at Wisconsin Rapids Quad
Report shared by Marshfield Head Coach Jeff Molter
We started playing Appleton West, gave up and early goal at 7 minutes, after that we settled in and did a good job of controlling play for the first half, and finally found the net just short of the 40th minute with Aaron Ongana on an assist from Dillion McHugh. We followed that up with a goal at 45 min from Keegan assisted by Aaron, then again at the 46th minute with Mathew assisted by Aaron. After our brief scoring frenzy we maintained control and tempo relatively well until the 72 minute when Appleton got their 2nd goal on the day. Then on a breakaway Dirk Vanderwyst made a great save on a textbook tackle in the box, unfortunately our official disagreed and awarded Appleton a PK that they converted to bring the score even at the 75th minute. Appleton got behind us one more time to finish the scoring and put us behind 3-4 which is how we ended.

Tigers shots 14, on goal 8
Appleton shots 27, on goal 15

Game 2 vs Neenah
We started early with a goal from Aaron in the 6th minute assisted by no other than our Keeper, Kai Rens.

The game would only be played till the 27th minute when it was called for weather and lightening, the game was not resumed. Technically it was not a W for the tigers but we were happy with  our play to that point.

Tiger shots 2
Neenah shots 6
Both team with 1 corner each.
