Marshfield Boys Surge Past River Falls

Report shared by Marshfield Head Coach Jeff Molter

Marshfield started slow, passing was suspect and off, our pressure on the ball was not were it needed to be, The result of that being Riverfalls finding our net early at 11:38. That woke us up a bit and answered with a goal from Cash Frey at the 15:01 mark assisted from our Wingback Afton Hamil.
At 21:21 Cash found the net again to put us up 2-1. Keegan Fredrick put on a lesson in front of the net at the 28:52 mark and netted goal # 3 for the Tigers. Kallee Selleck converted on a free kick at 69:09 to bring the Wildcats within 1 goal, at 72:23 Matthew Uphoff rounded out the scoring on a ball in from Keegan Fredrick.

All in all the adjustments we made at the 20-minute mark (stepping harder to the ball) made the difference today and really swung the momentum in our favor.
Our back line of JJ Steinbach, Joey Ketterer, Afton Hamil and Dirk Vanderwyst improve and continue to impress me on what they are able to accomplish on a consistent basis.

Another great day to be a Tiger!!
