WAUSAU – Marshfield won five events and came up short in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual meet to Wausau East, losing 92-78 on Thursday at Horace Mann Middle School.
Marshfield is now 3-4 in Wisconsin Valley Conference duals, while East improves to 3-5.
Myles Jensen won a pair of events for the Tigers, taking first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.88) and the 500 freestyle (5:31.45), and was also part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team, along with Jeffrey Berres, Connor Berres, and Ethan Dagit (3:49.30).
Dagit won the 50 freestyle in 23.87 seconds and Jacob Dick took first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.71 for Marshfield’s other two wins.
Marshfield will finish its regular-season schedule with a home meet against D.C. Everest next Thursday, Jan. 24. The Wisconsin Valley Conference Meet will be on Jan. 31 at Wisconsin Rapids.
