Marshfield (OnFocus) – The Marshfield Civic Band has had a long-standing tradition of bringing the community together through the power of music. After taking a year off during the COVID-19 pandemic last year, the group will be back in action this summer.
Throughout June and July, the band will be performing every Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the band shell at Columbia Park. St. John’s Catholic Church will also be selling pie and ice cream on Wednesday nights during the concerts.
The band has already had performances at Memorial Day and Dairy Fest.
Rehearsals for the band will begin on Tuesday, May 18th and be held in the gymnasium at the UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield campus usually beginning at 7 p.m.
Anyone from the Marshfield or surrounding areas is eligible to participate in the band. Prior experience is required and participants must be at least a freshman in high school.
