MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – After months of discussion, Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) and Sanford Health have reached a Memorandum of Understanding to combine their organizations, a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing rural healthcare delivery. This union combines the two healthcare organizations to elevate patient care across the area.

Sanford Health, based in South Dakota and recognized as the largest rural health system in the United States, serves over 1.4 million patients and nearly 200,000 health plan members across 250,000 square miles. With 48 medical centers, 211 clinic locations, and a team of over 2,900 physicians and advanced practice providers, Sanford Health is committed to providing world-class healthcare services.

Marshfield Clinic Health System, operating in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, boasts over 12,000 employees, including more than 1,600 providers across 170 specialties.
