Claire and Daniel will be performing a virtual concert on March 17.

OnFocus – The Marshfield Cultural Fair will be hosting another event during their series of events in place of their traditional fair-style event.

Marshfield’s own “the foxfire affair” will be performing virtually on the Marshfield Cultural Fair Facebook Page on March 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

According to their website, the foxfire affair is a band that has the range to play anything from Celtic music to their own original music.

“While trading off lead vocals and harmonies, they’ll span several centuries of music playing everything from Irish traditionals to sea shanties, American folk to rock, and a touch of original material,” the site says.

Along with the band, Nutz Deep II will be serving carry-out orders of Irish burgers, Rueben sandwiches and Irish nachos. You can call to place an order at 715-387-2597 or go to their website to order online.

The normal fair has traditionally been a one-day event held at UW-Stevens Point at Marshfield. That has been cancelled this year due to COVID-19 concerns. In its place the fair organizers are putting together monthly events that display different cultures.

Last month, Natty Nation and Jamaican Kitchens brought a taste of Jamaican culture to central Wisconsin.
