Hayward jumped out to a 2-0 start before Marshfield fought back to knot their regional matchup at 3-3, and Hayward then escaped with a goal in double overtime to pick up a 4-3 win.
Marshfield trailed 2-0 after the first period and Graydon Anderson picked up a goal to pull the Tigers within one.
Sawyer Schindler scored goals in the second and third period to bring Marshfield back from a 3-1 deficit and force overtime.
Marshfield outshot Hayward, 58-19. Cole Halvorson had 16 saves for the Tigers.
