MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Beginning Monday, August 23, 2021 Gerke Excavating Inc. will begin two sanitary sewer replacement projects on E. 8th Street between Central Avenue and Cedar Avenue and on Cedar Avenue between 8th Street and 6th Street.
Following Gerke Excavating’s sanitary sewer work, the City of Marshfield will complete the restoration and street paving.
The expected duration of these closures will be approximately four to six weeks per each street. Detours will not be posted for these closures.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes and avoid these areas due to anticipated traffic congestion. Please use caution throughout the construction zones and plan for additional travel time, changing road conditions and reduced vehicle speeds.
