A 10-yard touchdown pass from Carson Hacker to Spencer Steffen sank the Marshfield Tigers in their opener in Appleton Friday Night.
Marshfield took 12 point lead on two touchdown runs by Bradley Dickinson in the first half, both two-point conversions failed. Appleton West would respond with a 13-yard touchdown pass by Haker to Kaden Krueger, the extra point was good and Marshfield led 12-7 at the half.
Marshfield would start the scoring in the second half on a 30-yard touchdown run by Sam Hinson with 4:17 left in the 3rd Quarter. 2:03 later Appleton West responded with a 49-yard touchdown pass from Haker to Krueger.
Both teams would be unable to score until 2:32 left in the game when Appleton West would take the lead on the 10-yard touchdown pass from Hacker to Steffen, the two-point conversion was unsuccessful.
