Marshfield Fire & Rescue Responds to Fire at Masonite

Marshfield Fire & Rescue Department responded to a fire at Masonite this morning. Employees were actively fighting the fire when the Red Shift arrived and took over operations to suppress the fire. Due to quick action by employees, the fire was prevented from spreading.

MFRD quickly knocked down the fire and no injuries were reported.

Update:

Marshfield Fire & Rescue was dispatched at 8:30 a.m. February 15 to a fire at Masonite in Marshfield. The fire originated in a piece of equipment. A hydraulic hose failed and the wood components caught on fire. A fire detection system went off and activated the sprinkler system. Employees used smaller hoses to help put out the fire. No injuries were reported and the fire was contained. No damage estimate at this time.
