MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – On Saturday, March 11 at approximately 10:00pm, Marshfield Fire & Rescue responded to a call at 1637 N Central Ave (Nagoya Japanese Sushi & Steakhouse). The issue was electrical in nature and there were no injuries.
“Crews arrived to find the power was out. As they entered the structure, they found a haze of smoke throughout, with a strong electrical fire smell. After evaluation, with the help of electricians, it was found that there was arcing and damage to one of their breaker boxes,” said Chief Peter Fletty. “The fire was contained to that area. Our crews helped eliminate the smoke from the structure and the owners were advised to work with an electrician to repair the electrical issues before reopening.”
The popular sushi restaurant is closed for a few days as they address the issue.
