Marshfield girls basketball has four-game win streak snapped at Chippewa Falls

CHIPPEWA FALLS – Chippewa Falls ended the Marshfield girls basketball team’s four-game win streak with a 70-41 win over the Tigers on Tuesday at Chippewa Falls High School.

The Tigers were held to 30 percent shooting (16 of 53) and committed 22 turnovers in the loss.

Marshfield is now 8-11 overall and Chippewa Falls moves to 13-5.

Kaydee Johnson had 13 points and six rebounds, and Jenna Jakobi added eight points for Marshfield, which was held to 15 points and outscored by 21 in the second half.

Caelen Givens had 21 points for Chippewa Falls.

Marshfield plays at Wausau West in its Wisconsin Valley Conference finale on Friday. The Tigers finish the regular season with nonconference games at home against Lakeland on Monday and Menomonie on Feb. 15.
