Marshfield girls tennis cruises past D.C. Everest

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield swept the three doubles matches and won three of four in singles to nail down a 6-1 victory over D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls tennis match Tuesday at Boson Courts.

With the victory, the Tigers improve to 2-1 in WVC dual meets and move into fourth place in the conference standings.

Ava Critelli and Alexis Means at No. 1 doubles, Emily Weis and Lauren Weigel at No. 2, and Caitlyn Christensen and Krupa Patel at No. 3 were all victorious for the Tigers.

Winning singles matches for Marshfield were Dara Stichert at No. 1, Jabina Devadas at No. 2, and Ana Paape at No. 4. Marshfield’s lone loss came from Brooklyn Dillinger at No. 3 singles as she fought hard before losing in three sets.

Match scores were not provided.

Marshfield will play at Wausau East on Thursday.
