The Marshfield Tigers gave up three goals in the second period to fall to the Mosinee Indians 4-1.
After a scoreless first period the Indians scored three in the second, first at 2:56 in the period a goal from Trey Fitzgerald, then at 6:41 Slade Krause scored with an assist from Tobias Holka, and at 15:18 on a goal from AJ Buenning assisted by Max Beste.
Marshfield would get one back in the third period on a power-play goal from Nick Urban assisted by Max Heller. Then Mosinee would get an open net goal with 8 seconds left by Fitgerald.
Marshfield’s AJ Trierweiler would get 29 saves on 32 shots, Mosinee’s Stanford Swid would save 35 out of 36.
Mosinee moves to 15-7-0, Marshfield falls to 12-9-1.
Marshfield hosts first place Wausau West on Tuesday night, Mosinee heads to Lakeland in Round 2 of the Great Northern Conference Tournament on Tuesday Night.
