Marshfield Hockey Scores First, But Falls to DCE

The Marshfield Tigers got the first goal of the game but then gave up three to DC Everest to loose 3-1.

Marshfield scored at 14:47 in the first period with a power-play goal by Payton Smith, assisted by Nick Urban.

DC Everest would tie the game at 2:29 in the second on a goal by Eddie Zynda.

The Evergreens would get two more goals in the third, first from Grant Oertel at 8:43, then again by Colby Schmitt at 15:34.

Tiger Goalie AJ Trierweiler had 23 saves on the night.

Marshfield falls to 10-8-1, 3-4-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Marshfield next plays at East-Merrill on Tuesday night.
