OnFocus – A 45-year-old Marshfield man was arrested for operating while intoxicated 5th offense following a single-vehicle crash on Sunday, (Nov.1) along County M and Oxbow Rd near Rozellville in Marathon County. The incident happened just before 1:00 p.m.
Officers responded to reports of a passenger car vs. utility pole and on arrival observed signs of driver impairment, according to Wisconsin State Patrol. Upon further investigation, including Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, the driver was arrested.
The driver was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary blood draw and Drug Recognition Expert evaluation conducted by a Marathon County Sheriff’s Office deputy. WSP charges include OWI 5th and possession of drug paraphernalia. The crash remains under investigation by the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.
