MMCCU Donating Percentage of Coins to Local Nonprofit
During the month of August, Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) is asking members to bring in their coins for deposit. At the end of the month, MMCCU will donate a percentage of all coins collected to a local charity, up to $500.
“The impact of COVID-19 saw a significant decrease in coin used in daily transactions or being cashed in by members across the country and as a result the country is seeing a coin shortage everywhere,” said Carol Kulibert, Operations Manager. “Stores are requiring exact change or pushing customers to use checks and cards until more coin is reintroduced into circulation. At MMCCU, we want to do our part to help.”
MMCCU’s coin machine is running and ready to cash in your coin. (Please note this service is only able to be made available to MMCCU members and not to the public at this time.)
“If you are a member and would like to cash in your coin, please stop by the drive-up or give us a call and our staff will direct you on how to drop off your coin,” said Kulibert. “Thank you for your continued support of the credit union and the greater Marshfield area!”
