MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – Benjamin Austin, on behalf of Hole In One Mini Golf LLC, will present plans for a proposed 18-hole miniature golf course to the City of Marshfield Plan Commission at Tuesday’s meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The proposed mini golf course would be built on an L-shaped lot at 1901 S. Central Ave. and would feature an adventure theme-style course with rough and sand features.

Plans for the mini golf course were first presented to the Plan Commission in August of last year, at which time the developers requested that the property be rezoned to community mixed use-planned development.

During the Plan Commission meeting, the developers will request the commission to approve the rezoning of the 1.159-acre vacant lot at 1901 S. Central Ave. to planned development, following a previous improper rezoning attempt. If the commission approves the rezoning, the proposal will be forwarded to the Common Council for two readings of the proposed ordinance.

The Plan Commission will also review and approve the general development plan for the proposed mini golf course. Once the general development plan is approved, the developers will submit their specific implementation plan, which will provide more detailed information on the course design.

The proposed mini golf course will feature an adventure theme-style course with rough and sand features, alongside a clubhouse for admissions and concessions, as well as a patio area for customers to enjoy pizza or novelty ice cream, according to City documents.
